High speed, superfast internet connection a telecom service provider, launched Facebook mobile on SMS in India recently.The service enables users to receive or send messages and notifications from Facebook, set Facebook status via SMS and also stay connected while offline.

To activate the service, Tata Indicom subscribers can register their mobile number on Facebook and start receiving via SMS Facebook messages and notifications. Users can also update their Facebook status at any time by sending a text message to the short code 51555. Users will be charged Rs. 1/- for every SMS sent via short code.
