Funny People premiered in Hollywood : Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen

When your first two movies are "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up," it's hard to top yourself. But Monday night at Hollywood's famed Cinerama Dome, Judd Apatow brought some very "Funny People" along to the premiere of his latest directorial effort — and admitted to feeling some extra love for the film's semi-autobiographical characters.

And according to Apatow, “Funny People” contains some old footage of Sandler from back in the day when they used to be roommates.

“There definitely was some nudity; there might have been some nude prank phone calls in the film. There were some filthy jokes that Adam and myself watched and we thought, ‘we’ll never work again if we put that joke in the movie. That’s a career ender.’”

"This is definitely the most special premiere," Hill agreed. "I have a lot of pride in what I've done."
