As of June 5, 2009, a total of 121 episodes have aired. The total number of episodes, without their sister episode(s) counted together, 236 episodes have aired.
USA Today reports that in 2006 “Jack Nicholson … [was] overheard on a film set humming the SpongeBob theme song and admits to watching with his kids” and then in 2007 SpongeBob was listed ahead of Simon Cowell in the sexiest man alive poll.

Spongebob Squarepants is an awesome t.v. show. It's one of my favorites. Almost all of the episodes are great except for, The splinter, Pets or Pests, Dear Vikings and about 5 more. you know a TV show is good if it only has 8 bad episodes.
