Baatin American rapper Photo : Music world reacting death of Baatin

The music world is reacting to the death of Slum Villages’ Baatin. Baatin of Slum Village has died, his death prompting fans and industry leaders to send their love Saturday.


Baatin’s death was confirmed by the Detroit Free Press. No details are available as to when or how the rapper died. News of his death came a day after Hip Hop Wired reported his return to the group for their upcoming album Villa Manifesto, which drops on September 22nd. Baatin suffered from health problems prior to his death.

Baatin was set to join Elzhi and T3 on a 2009 release Villa Manifesto. As of noon Pacific Time, few details have been released about Baatin’s cause of death, and when it happened. Baatin’s co founder James (J. Dilla) Yancey passed in 2006.
