Jon & Kate Plus 8 have their own separate chair

TLC’s reality show “Jon & Kate Plus 8” starring the most famous parents (Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin) of eight adorable children returns today (August 3) after a summer hiatus following the announcement of their divorce.

In the first episode, Jon and Kate are "offered" yet an opportunity, this time to get their fairly large, relatively new kitchen remodeled. Jon suggests an under-the-counter refrigerator, which gets a withering "What planet do you live on?" from Kate. Then the cabinet company rep tells Kate that it could be an easily-accessible fridge for kids, and suddenly she's on board.

There will be some big changes for Jon and Kate. The show will now captures them parenting separately and the iconic interview couch will be replace by chairs – Jon and Kate will have their own separate chair.

The second episode of the evening was filmed post-divorce announcement, and Kate says she's going to try to do things she's never done before, be it grilling or camping. So she sets up a tent, more or less successfully. Marshmallows are roasted, s'mores are eaten, brain cells are killed. That last part happened in my den, actually.

Even mommy and daddy’s new boyfriends/girlfriends might have special appearances on the show. TLC said in a statement, “We are taking it on a case-by-case basis. This is real life. It’s important to remember that our cameras are only there for moments in time, and those moments have limits.”
