Tropical Storm Ana formed in the Atlantic early Saturday morning, and forecasters say it could bring heavy rain to Florida, Ana is not expected to grow into a hurricane, but could get somewhat stronger as it moves through the Carribean.
The National Hurricane Center in MIAMI said The first tropical storm of the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season formed Saturday, Tropical Storm Ana may pick up speed, minimum winds is 40 miles per hour and approach the Islands by Monday. It was 1,010 miles east of the Islands early Saturday.
On August 15 at 5 A.M. AST, the storm was located around 1,010 miles (1630 km) east of the Leeward Islands. It pressure is 1005 mbar | 29.68 inHg.Closer to home, a tropical wave is moving into the Gulf of Mexico. It could develop into a depression soon.
