Before her dad could get her, a friend invited the girl to join a group of students drinking in an alley close by. She agreed, began to drink. By then, it was dark, the alley north of the school in an area no one heard or saw anything. It was there that a group of young males sexually attacked her.
The police believe as many as a dozen people watched a 15-year-old girl being beaten and gang-raped outside her high school homecoming dance but did not report it.
Richmond High School Principal Julio Franco says “It’s one of our students. It tell them once they leave their house, they are my children.”
“Based on witness statements and suspect statements, and also physical evidence, we know that she was raped by at least four suspects committing multiple sex acts,” said Lt. Mark Gagan of the police department in Richmond, California.
