The latest news is the CR Johnson was killed when he was skiing at Squaw Valley, California. CR Johnson 26, fell many hundred yards just below the entry before he fell through the rocks. He caught an edge on rocks while entering the Light Towers area, above the Cornice II lift.
C. R. Johnson was an American newschool skiing rider specialising in freestyle & freeride. He won the US Open against Tanner Hall in 2002. C.R. was one of the most respected skiers. He was the first skier to do a 1440, four complete 360 degree spins which he performed at his home mountain of Squaw Valley, California.

CR Johnson had won the Winter X Games twice with a bronze medal in 2001 Big Air and in 2001 won a silver medal for slope style.Nancy Cushing, the CEO of Squaw Valley said that it was a terrible tragedy and that he was a part of the Squaw Valley family. Nancy added that they had a lot of athletes in Vancouver Olympics 2010 and many of them were Johnson’s friends.
