Hawaii was under warning for tsunami after earthquake struck Chile on Saturday morning. The earlier estimation for waves to hit Hawaii were about 6 to 8 foot but in reality it was only 3 to 4 feet high. the tidal waves generated after the earthquake in Chile that caused the tsunami.
Tsunami warning was immediately issued after the quake. It was expected that tsunami waves will hit the near costs early and might also hit the distant coasts. The magnitude of the earthquake was 8.8 and its intensity is 1000 time more then the earthquake of Haiti. The destruction in Chile is less then as compared to the destruction in Haiti.

Compared to previous serious natural disasters in Asian countries in 2004.these waves were quite high compared to normal courses.
Luckily, Hawaii had escaped from any disasters.
