She married fellow 2002 Olympian and former U.S. Ski Team athlete Thomas Vonn on September 29, 2007, at the Silver Lake Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah. He is the husband of champion ski racer Lindsey Vonn, the World Cup overall champion in 2008 and 2009 and 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist. They were married on September 29, 2007, at the Silver Lake Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah.
Charging down a bumpy and jarring course Monday, Vonn turned in the fastest time in the upper section during downhill training – a development that shocked even her.
She finished the more demanding portion of the day’s two runs in 1 minute 30.75 seconds, or 0.39 of a second faster than teammate Julia Mancuso. Later, skiing the much shorter bottom section after the men’s downhill race, Vonn finished in 18.52 seconds, good for 20th and 0.73 of a second behind Sweden’s Anja Paerson.
Thomas Vonn is a former alpine ski racer with the U.S. Ski Team. Primarily a giant slalom racer, Vonn’s best finish in international competition was in the Super-G at the 2002 Winter Olympics, where he placed ninth.

Lindsey has had to deal with many obstacles, and it was great to see her triumph despite her lingering injuries
