The Stuart Beach Florida shark attack killed Stephen Howard Schafer, 38, last night.The Stuart Beach, FL, attack was just after 4 pm local time Wednesday.South Florida Beach is the place where people who loves water go because of its natural beauty and clean water.
Unfortunately, A Kite Surfer named Stephen Howard Schafer, 38 years old, was being attacked by a shark and died due to his injuries. According to the Bureau Chief Doug Killane of Martin Country Fire Rescue, the incident happened at around 4:15PM at the Stuart Beach.
A witness tells local press:
“When they got there, they found a number of sharks in the water and they found the victim had been bitten several times. They were able to maneuver him onto the kite to basically somewhat protect him and bring him on shore.”
The beach is open today for swimmers who want to go back in the water. The last fatal shark attack in Florida was in 2005. Another took a swimmer’s life in 1998.
